Jusqu’à présent, les chiffres avaient été dissimulés au public, sous le sceau du secret. La seule donnée mathématique connue concernant le transfert de Thierry Henry du FC Barcelone aux New York Red Bulls, franchise de MLS (championnat américain de soccer), c’était la durée du contrat paraphé : 4 ans et demi.
L’AFP dévoilait vendredi le montant du salaire perçu par l’ancien international français de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique, et c’est clairement ce qu’on appelle une retraite dorée : 5,6 millions de dollars par an (soit 4,35 millions d’euros).
